The desire to bulk place and cure large dental composites restorations in a single timesaving step has been the holy grail of dentistry for more than 3 decades. Technical limitations such as high shrinkage stress and the inability to light cure deeply have been challenging to overcome and have been mitigated by incremental composite placement. Furthermore, these materials must continue to provide excellent mechanical properties, wear resistance, esthetics and customer desired handling without voids.

Through collaboration with the University of Colorado, an innovative nanocomposite technology has been developed that addresses these customer desired attributes. This new technology is used for bulk fill composite procedures and has the ability to be placed up to 5 mm in one increment. This CE webinar will highlight the truths and myths of current bulk fill materials and the science behind a new bulk fill/curing solution.   ( disclaimer , ADA CERP Statement )
